Built at the end of the 19th century, the main house at La Brugère dominates the site of what was once the local paper mill industry and there remain many clues to this previous existence

You will relish taking your breakfast or a drink on the superb terrace overlooking the grounds and the river and you can appreciate moments of leisure and relaxation devoted to reading next to the imposing fireplace in the large living room.

In the evenings, dinner is served in the glittering chandelier lit dining room, where the long antique table is dressed in pristine linens, glassware, silverware and ceramics. The voluptuous silk hangings complement perfectly the delicately subtle hand stenciled vine which tumbles down the walls.

The en suite bedrooms are located on the first floor and offer a charm and authenticity of classical and noble nature. Each room has a unique character and all provide splendid views of the garden and river.
